1. Introduction & Office Identity

This Privacy Policy governs how Team IN Filings (TEAM IN FILINGS) collects and processes digital personal data. As a professional services firm, we act as a “Data Fiduciary” for the information you provide.

2. Data Collection (Itemized)

We collect only the data necessary for your specific legal or tax filing. This includes:

  • KYC Identifiers: PAN, Aadhaar, Passport, and Voter ID (only for Government filing purposes).
  • Financial Records: Bank Statements, P&L accounts, and Audit logs.
  • Biometric/Verification Data: Live video KYC and photographs for DSC issuance.
  • Technical Meta-data: IP address and time-stamps as required by the IT Rules 2026 for digital accountability.

3. Purpose & Legitimate Use

Your data is processed strictly for the “Specified Purpose” for which you have provided consent, such as:

  • Filing of GST, Income Tax, or MCA returns.
  • Legal representation and drafting of agreements.
  • Company/LLP/Partnership incorporation.

Note: Under Section 4(1)(b) of the DPDP Act, we may process data without explicit consent for “Legitimate Uses” like complying with a court order or legal obligation.

4. Storage & Retention (The “Right to be Forgotten”)

In accordance with the DPDP Act 2023, we will erase your personal data once the specified purpose is met, unless retention is required by law (e.g., Tax records must be kept for 8 years).

Users can request the erasure of their data once their engagement with Team IN Filings is officially concluded and all statutory filings are complete.

5. Security Safeguards

We implement the following to prevent personal data breaches:

  • Encryption: Data in transit and at rest is protected using AES-256 encryption.
  • Access Control: Only the assigned professional (CA/CS/Advocate) has access to your specific case files.
  • Breach Notification: In the event of an unauthorized data breach, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and the affected individual within 72 hours.

6. Your Rights as a “Data Principal”

You have the right to:

  1. Access & Summary: Request a summary of the data we hold and the identities of third-party processors (e.g., cloud storage) with whom it is shared.
  2. Correction & Update: Correct any inaccurate or outdated information.
  3. Withdrawal: Withdraw consent at any time (this may stop the service immediately).
  4. Nomination: Designate a person to manage your data rights in case of death or incapacity.
